Data QA BugCam Handles

QA BugCam handles screenshots, tab recordings, optional console messages and network resource metadata, locally stored settings, Google account email, and user-configured Jira credentials.

Captures remain on the user's device unless the user explicitly enables upload to their own Google Drive or chooses to attach an annotated screenshot and optional comment to their configured Jira Cloud site.

Transfers use HTTPS and go directly from the extension to Google or the user-configured Atlassian site. Snakez S.R.O does not operate a server that receives this data, does not sell it, does not use it for advertising or profiling, and does not allow humans to read it.

Local Storage and Optional Transfers

The extension stores local settings such as capture preferences, export settings, Google Drive folder name and Jira Cloud configuration in the user's browser storage.

Google Drive upload is optional. When the user enables it, the extension authenticates with Google and uploads selected evidence directly to the user's own Drive.

Jira Cloud attachment is optional. When the user configures Jira and chooses to send evidence, the extension sends the annotated screenshot and optional comment directly to the configured Atlassian Cloud site.

Chrome Permissions

• tabCapture: records the active browser tab only when the user starts recording.
• activeTab and scripting: are used for the selected tab after a user action.
• downloads: saves recordings and screenshots to the user's Downloads folder.
• storage: remembers local extension settings.
• identity: authenticates Google Drive uploads only when the user enables that feature.

Host permissions are limited to https://www.googleapis.com/* for optional Google Drive operations and https://*.atlassian.net/* for optional Jira Cloud attachment operations. QA BugCam does not request <all_urls> host access.

Google API Limited Use

QA BugCam's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention

Locally saved captures, recordings, ZIP bundles and settings remain under the user's control on the user's device or browser profile. Files uploaded to Google Drive or Jira Cloud are controlled by the user's own Google or Atlassian account and organization policies.
